As an artist, which you are if you
are a freestyle rapper, you will
definitely need to learn and then
practice very hard to be successful
at this endeavor.
Here are some tips that you can use
every time you are freestyling. The
more that you use these tips, the
more you will see an improvement in
your freestyles.
Tip #1 Look Up and Look To The Sides
When you are performing, always look up.
There are two parts of your brain that
you will use when you perform as well
as when you look up. The two parts that
you will use are your memory or the left
side of your brain.
The right side or the creative side will
also be use. As you look up by looking
to the left side, you’ll be able to
remember what you are going to say.
As you look to the right, you will be
using the creative side. Try this when
you are practicing and see how original
and clear your rapping will become.
Tip #2 Keep Rapping
When you first start, you might get
lost in the middle of your freestyle.
Don’t quit. Keep on going. Say
something even if it doesn’t make a
lick of sense.
With freestyle it doesn’t necessarily
have to if you bring it back around
in the next line.
You might get more people interested
in what you are doing or what you are
getting ready to do. Give your audience
the unexpected and watch them respond
to your rapping.

Tip #3 Observe Your Room
As you are freestyling, look around
the room. If you are stuck for what
to say next, you can probably find
100 or maybe even 1000 things to say
by just observing the room that you
are in. What’s on the wall? What
are the colors of the wall?
Check out the ceilings, the floors,
the lights, the carpet, the tables,
the chairs, the people, the clothes
the people are wearing, the objects
on the tables, and I could go on
and on.
Describe all of the things that you
see, hear, feel and touch. This will
give you some new subjects to rhyme
about and include in your freestyle.
Tip #4 Know when to pass to the next
person
Keep your freestyles to around one
minute; no longer. Pass when you are
on a roll. Don’t pass when you run
out of something to say. The crowd
as well as the other rappers will like
this and will be fun for the entire
crowd.
Passing, rolling, rhyming and flowing.
These are all techniques that you can
learn about when you rush over and
order my “Freestyle Method” course.
