In the first technique, you will be finding things to say against as well as about the person that you are battling. You may attack your opponent’s clothes, the way he looks, the way he talks, the way he walks, the way he laughes or even the way he freestyles.

If you use the second technique, you will really be directing everything back to yourself. So for instance, you will say things that will
make you be the point of all the jokes.

You may talk about your weakness, you may rap about different quirks that you may have, or you might even rap about some of the
strengths that you possess, but put them in a poor light. The point here is that you will show that you can be honest and real with your audience.

If you are really trying to get better, then you want to find at least 5 friends who are great at freestyling.

The more that you hang out with them, the more that you will find that your skills will be improving.

If you are not sure where to meet new freestyle rappers, start looking in places that they hang out in. Try various hip hop and rap venues as well as hip hop clubs.

If you can’t find them, start connecting with them over the Internet. You can start with YouTube.

Start watching different freestyle battle videos. They are fun to watch, but you also can improve your skills by watching them.

Battle with other freestyle rap artists. By practicing and battling with them, it will help you get better.

It will be better for you to do this than to practice on your own.
